is single engine good for Corsair 28?

I'm thinking of swapping engines for my 2017 Corsair 28. Does anyone here know a good single engine for my boat? I saw single Volvo Penta 375 HP with a fair price tag but I have no idea about its performance, consumption etc. Has anyone here done a full, detailed test with the setup I'm thinking?

A buddy of mine runs a single Volvo Penta 375 on his 28-footer, he says it planes quick, cruises great, and burns around 16–18 gph at 30 knots..so yeah I think it is a good choice

A single Volvo Penta 375 HP should work well on your Corsair 28, it's got plenty of power and is a solid choice. At cruise, you'll likely burn around 15-20 GPH and closer to 30+ GPH at wide open throttle. It won't be as fuel-efficient as twins at lower speeds, but its simpler and cheaper to maintain for sure. I haven't seen a full test with that exact setup, but i know others have run similar configs with good results, so i guess thats a green light.
