I have a 1931 22' Chris Craft Triple Cockpit and was just wondering where I can find the hull number. I've spent hours already and I haven't had my luck. Can anyone please point me to the right direction? Am I missing something really obvious?

Take a look at the engine stringers or the main beam under the engine hatch, Chris-Craft typically stamps the hull number in that spot, usually on the starboard side. You might also find a small metal plate in the engine compartment.

Have you had a chance to lift the floorboards or check around the transom yet?

For a 1931 22' Chris Craft triple Cockpit, the hull number is often found on a metal plate attached to the starboard, right side of the transom or stamped into the hull near the stern like @VintageCraft said. It might also be inside the engine compartment or under a seat. Since it's an older boat, the number can be faded or hidden, so yeah check carefully around these spots and look for any plates or stamped numbers that might be covered by paint or grime.
