I have a 1939 19' Custom Runabout Barrelback. I was hoping to get recommendations for best bumpers and lines you use.

Go with Taylor Made fenders and add in double-braid nylon lines. They look clean and hold up well without messing with the boat's style.

Wow, that's a beautiful classic you've got there! For fenders, a lot of owners of these vintage boats go with white cylindrical fenders, as they have a traditional look that complements the boat's classic lines. A size around 6" x 18" is often a good fit for a 19-foot boat. When it comes to lines, a good quality double-braided nylon is a popular choice. It's strong and durable with a bit of stretch to handle shock. A 3/8" diameter is a good general-purpose size for your boat. You could get a couple of 15-foot lines for the bow and stern, and some longer ones, maybe 25-foot, for spring lines.

I have to agree here. These are great recommendations! I've used the same setup on my 1947 22' Sportsman for years and it works perfectly. The white cylindrical fenders look right at home on the boat, and the 3/8" nylon lines are just the right size and feel good in your hand. I'd add that if you can, go for a traditional-looking rope with a whipped end rather than a plastic heat-sealed one! It's a small detail, but it makes a big difference on a boat like yours!
